Knox Street Dallas: New Stores and Dining for Fall 2026

October 8, 2026

D Magazine published its tracker of Knox Street arrivals on September 29. It listed fourteen retailers. Three of them had opened or were scheduled to open by early September, KD Biel was dated September 25, and every other one was dated fall 2026, winter, or "by end of 2026." The same piece listed six food and drink entries. Three of those are set for 2027.

The timing follows from how the street is being rebuilt. The boutiques come first, the long dinner reservations come a year behind them, and in the gap the shops themselves are adding bars.

A Highland Park Village Playbook, Moved a Mile East

The current revival started in 2018, when MSD Capital, now BDT & MSD Partners, began buying buildings in the Knox area and became the neighborhood's biggest landlord. The Summers Group and Gillon Property Group took over leasing and property management soon after. D Magazine notes that both are closely connected to Highland Park Village.

That connection shows up in the tenant list. Several of this fall's arrivals tested Dallas in Highland Park first:

  • Cult Gaia ran a residency at Market Highland Park Village before committing to a full-time Knox store.
  • TWP, the New York luxury womenswear label, opened as a pop-up in Highland Park last year and is making it permanent on Knox.
  • The Conservatory is Brian Bolke's sister concept to the store he opened in Highland Park Village in 2019.

Others are using Knox for a Texas debut. HART, the Charleston jewelry brand founded by Hart Hagerty, had only Manhattan, Nashville and Nantucket shops before Dallas. Addison Bay picked 3212 Knox Street for its first Texas store. Julia Amory and Dôen are opening their first Texas stores here, and Staud's will be its first standalone location in the state. Fashion boutiques fit into existing storefronts with a design build-out. Restaurants need kitchens, permits and longer construction, and the calendar reflects that.

The Retail Calendar, Month by Month

Here is where each opening stands as of October 4, from the most recent date each source gives:

  1. Already open. HART opened August 15. Visual Comfort opened in August in the former Origin Kitchen + Bar space. KD Biel opened September 25. HART's store sits in the same complex as Ann Mashburn. Addison Bay was listed to open September 2 at 3212 Knox Street, Suite 104.
  2. October. ME+EM, the London womenswear label, is slated for October, and the street's tenant page still marks it "Coming Soon." The brand's store locator puts it at 3212 Knox Street, Suite 101. It will be the brand's second Dallas location after NorthPark.
  3. November. PaperCity reported in August that Cult Gaia is planning a November opening and that the boutique will include a matcha bar. Julia Amory is listed for "this fall." That same PaperCity report gave a mid-November target, with interiors by Mark D. Sikes.
  4. Fall, no firm date. Toteme, the Stockholm label, and TWP. Both still read "Coming Soon" on the district's tenant pages.
  5. By year's end. Alo, which will have its third Dallas store, Staud, and The Conservatory.
  6. Winter. Bachendorf's, which will be the family-owned jeweler's fifth location, and Dôen.

Anything past item one is a target.

Furniture Row Is Thinning but Hasn't Left

In the 1990s Knox was known as "Furniture Row," and that history explains the remaining tenant list better than the new arrivals do. Some of the home stores that defined that era have left. Pottery Barn, a Knox fixture since the '90s, moved to NorthPark in 2026. Weir's closed.

The home category is changing shape rather than disappearing. Crate & Barrel has been on the street since the Furniture Row years. Herman Miller, Lovesac and Boll & Branch are still here. This fall's two design openings run smaller and more specialized than the big furniture floors that left. KD Biel, a Design District shop, opened a second outpost here for hard-to-find high-end decor. Visual Comfort, the Houston-based lighting brand, opened its first Dallas store outside the Market Center.

Visual Comfort moved into a former restaurant space. The swap also runs the other way. The Main House, a new neighborhood concept from the il Bracco team, is taking the former Mashburn space, but not until 2027.

Where the New Restaurants Land on the Calendar

D Magazine's food and drink list lines up like this:

Name What it is Timing
Caffe Lucca Sicilian-inspired, with Palermos and busiate pastas Opened March 2026
Victory Tap Lombardi sports bar in the former Mar Y Sol space Grand opening October 10, 2026
Sunlife Organics Malibu superfood café By end of 2026
Sant Ambroeus Milan-founded all-day café, first in Texas 2027
The Main House il Bracco team, Kennedy-era Americana feel 2027
Théa Mediterranean Rooftop Second location after Phoenix 2027

The one new dinner-and-drinks opening this fall is a sports bar. Mar Y Sol closed in mid-August, and Lombardi Family Concepts is turning the space into what D Magazine calls "a more approachable sports bar." Victory Tap's own site lists a grand-opening weekend starting Saturday, October 10. Sunlife Organics, which already has Texas locations in Austin and Bee Cave, will add cold-pressed juice, acai bowls and coffee by year's end.

Several of the new stores are adding hospitality of their own. Bachendorf's space, designed by Droese Raney Architecture, will have a full-service bar. The Conservatory's two-story, 10,000-square-foot store will include an outdoor deck and a bar and restaurant concept. Cult Gaia plans a matcha bar. Until the 2027 restaurants arrive, these shops will supply a good share of the street's new places to sit and order a drink.

The familiar tables are all still open. Green Point Seafood & Oyster Bar from the Katz Bros. team is a strong lunch pick. Knox Bistro serves French cooking at a neighborhood price point. Anchor Sushi Bar comes from Vandelay. Berkley's Market sells coffee along with wine and gourmet groceries, and Fox Trot is the sit-down coffee option. For something newer within a short drive, Marlowe opened at 2912 McKinney Avenue on September 23 with chef Vidal Cantu. JOEY Maple is now open at 2508 Maple Avenue.

The Project Across From Le Bilboquet

The project that ties all of this together is still a construction site. D Magazine described The Knox, Auberge Collection, as "nearly upon us," and noted that most of the wait has been spent watching a huge hole across from Le Bilboquet. The hotel is listed at 4555 Travis Street, and the district now says it will debut in late 2026. It will be Auberge's first Dallas property. The group's portfolio includes the Commodore Perry in Austin and Bowie House in Fort Worth.

The detail that matters most to anyone on foot is the larger mixed-use plan. It is designed to connect the Katy Trail directly to Knox Street with a pedestrian passage and a half-acre park. D Magazine also credits the 2023 Auberge announcement, together with the Weir's Plaza redevelopment, with drawing the current wave of luxury tenants. So the hotel that helped bring in this fall's boutiques will open after most of them, and the restaurants are on a later schedule still. Don't confuse it with Knox & McKinney, a separate project that the district lists for 2028.

Two Dates for October

The first confirmed reason to walk over is Victory Tap's grand-opening weekend starting October 10. The second is the street's own event. Fall Fête runs Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with live music, seasonal activities, pop-ups and a Pumpkin Path along the Katy Trail. It overlaps with the Partners Card shopping period, Friday, October 23 through Sunday, November 1, which raises money for The Family Place. By that weekend, HART, KD Biel, Visual Comfort and Addison Bay will have been open for weeks, and ME+EM is slated for October.
